This Privacy Policy explains how MateFull collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data, and what rights you have under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.

How payouts and fees work (for clarity): your compensation is paid directly by the airline into your bank account — MateFull never receives your compensation funds and does not take a percentage. For our service you can choose a €10/month subscription (cancel anytime) or a €40 one‑time fee charged only if your claim is approved by the airline; fees are billed separately (e.g., via Stripe) and are not deducted from your payout.

2. What Information We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, login credentials
• Flight and claim data you provide (including uploaded documents such as boarding passes, receipts, booking confirmations, and—where required—ID)
• Device and usage data (IP, browser, language, pages visited)
• Cookies and tracking information (if analytics are enabled)

3. Why We Collect Your Data

• To provide and improve our services
• To help you prepare and send compensation claims directly to airlines
• To communicate with you and respond to inquiries
• To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse

4. Legal Basis

We process your data under GDPR Article 6(1) based on one or more of the following: your consent (e.g., for optional features or communications), performance of a contract (providing MateFull services you request), compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests (e.g., security, service improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share it with:

• Airlines and their claim systems (to process your claim under your name)
• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) only to process MateFull subscription or one‑time service fees — never for airline compensation payouts
• Service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) acting under data processing agreements
• Legal authorities when required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to operate your account, support active claims, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time unless we are required by law to retain certain records.

8. Consent and Choices

By submitting your documents and claim details, you consent to MateFull processing that information to prepare and help you send your claim directly to the airline. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting go@matefull.com; this will not affect processing already performed.

9. Children’s Privacy

MateFull is not intended for individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Advertising and Google Services

MateFull may use Google Ads, Google AdSense, or similar advertising partners in the future. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to deliver ads relevant to you and to measure their effectiveness.

How it works: Google and its partners may collect data about your visits to this and other websites to show you personalized advertising. This is often called "interest‑based advertising."

Your choices: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Google Ads settings (www.google.com/settings/ads) or by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices/. You may also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though this could affect functionality.
